Welcome to Jamchen Buddhist Centre. We are a non-profit association set up to further the study and practice of Mahayaha Buddhism – as taught by the Tsarpa lineage of the Sakya School of Tibetan Buddhism.

November 21 to 23 : Public Talk on Happiness is the only agenda in Buddhism. Weekend Teachings - Secrets of Tibetan health and Healing and Medicine Buddha Teachings and Empowerment

He also visits our National Retreat Centre SIBA in East Gippsland on a regular basis during the year including our annual 10 day Calm Abiding Retreat in October. Lama will next be at SIBA on the weekend of Friday 1st to Monday 4th August leading a Medicine Buddha Retreat

Courses at our Balwyn Centre

Our ever popular 8 week Calm Abiding Meditation course runs around each school term in Balwyn on Fridays. The course beginning Friday July 18 is now full and no more booking can be taken. Cost is $80, contact us on 9857 3612 or email on info@jamchen.com.au to book a place in the following course due to begin on 10th October.

Sadhana practices on Saturdays Green Tara and Vajrapani will be held on alternate Saturdays along with White Tara and Chenrezig practices commencing from 9 a.m. with a 45 minute break after White Tara. 9.00 a.m. Green Tara or Vajrapani 10.00 a.m. White Tara 11.45 Chenrezig. Check with Jamchen which practice is at 9.00 a.m. if you are not sure.

For those who wish to empower their path through the preliminaries Ngondro practice is held on Wednesdays from 7 to 9.30 p.m. at the centre. Contact us for details on 9857 3612. A Vajrasattva Empowerment is required to attend.

Calm Abiding Practice will continue at 2 p.m. on Sundays. There is also a drop in Calm Abiding session on Monday nights between 6 to 7 p.m.
